Clinical Supervision & Consultation Failed Previous Therapy

Consultation on Failed Previous Therapies

Too often it isn’t easy to find a therapist who understands.

Therapies that fail are devastating. You’re left with feelings of hurt and confusion about what went wrong. The worst thing is: you wonder, was it  you? Inevitably, you  feel angry, distrusting, and afraid to try again.

I specialize in working with patients who’ve had previous therapies fail.

Consultation on Impasses in Treatment

It happens. There are times that a patient or therapist feels a treatment has stalled.  Or, even, is no longer working. Another pair of ears and eyes can help to sort things through.

I provide a series of consultations for both therapists and patients in this situation. For therapists, we  unravel what is causing the impasse and find solutions to move the therapy forward.

For patients, I  help you figure out if there is something that might make it possible for you to open up more fully with your therapist.  Or we discuss how to end an unsuccessful treatment and find you the help you need.

Clinical Supervision with Mental Health Clinicians

I offer clinical supervision for mental health professionals. This work provides a forum for developing your clinical skills, as well as your psychoanalytic, theoretical, and technical understanding.

In each meeting, we’ll carefully and closely go over the details of your clinical sessions. In doing so, I’ll help you find greater clarity about what is transpiring in your therapeutic relationships from moment to moment.
